Match Report
DSC cruised to a comprehensive 26-run victory over Central Tigers at Central Park Ground, powered by a masterful innings from captain Kranthi Manchikanti.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, DSC got off to a flying start. Kranthi set the tone early, dispatching the Tigers' opening bowlers to all parts of the ground. His 72 off 48 balls was a clinic in controlled aggression — eight boundaries and three towering sixes punctuated an innings that was as elegant as it was destructive.
Vice-captain Dileep Reddy provided excellent support with a quickfire 45, and the pair's 95-run second-wicket partnership effectively took the game away from the Tigers. Varun Reddy's unbeaten 28 off 18 balls in the death overs propelled DSC to an imposing 178/4.
In reply, the Tigers never looked in the hunt. Chandra Mouli struck early, removing both openers inside the powerplay to leave the Tigers reeling at 22/2. Mustafees Khan's tight bowling in the middle overs kept the pressure on, conceding just 22 runs in his four overs while picking up two crucial wickets. Shubham Jaitapkar completed a fine all-round display with 2/35.
The Tigers managed 152/8, falling 26 runs short. A dominant performance from DSC that sends a strong message to the rest of the league.
